Are You Buying The Right Aesthetic Device?

I’ve seen practices make the ultimate mistake of purchasing the wrong device and it costed some of them their practice and even their license.

If you’re new to the game, a lot of times, the best sales guy (or gal) wins. And along with the best sales guy, typically comes empty promises and false claims.

So focus on these 3 things:

The Truth – Check the technology, the efficacy and the feedback from patients

Market Research: Now a lot of these device companies will give you “reference calls.” Now most of those doctors or practice owners are highly incentivised and get paid thousands of dollars to help sell the device. My recommendation is to do your own market research. Go on the company website and find practices not in your area but with a similar demographic and call them! Ask them these questions.

The Consumable / ROI – Always look for something with low to NO consumable. The low to no consumable cost makes it much easier to demo and use as an “add value” because it costs you nothing but provider time.

PRO TIP – Keep in mind, provider time is also a consumable cost. So choosing something that doesn’t take a long time to do (excess numbing or extended treatment times) is important. Time is money!

The Company – You’re buying into a family. Go with a company that is GROWING that can provide you with the best support & marketing. As a new business, this is arguably the most important. Look at stock values for publicly traded companies. That is an indicator of the overall health of their business. Also focus on their support! What actual support are you getting? Is it virtual? In person? What about trainings if I hire a new provider or just need a refresh?
